30 Ukrainian Hospitals Begin Generating Electricity

Starting from 2026, 30 healthcare institutions in Ukraine have launched their own electricity generation as part of the "Ray of Hope" project. The total capacity of the solar power plants is 2388 kW. Currently, 106 facilities are at various stages of implementation, five institutions are completing preparatory work, and technical solutions are being developed for 146 medical facilities. The launch of solar generation has been made possible thanks to the support of international partners: 24 medical institutions received funding from Germany, five from Sweden, and one project was implemented with the help of the United Kingdom. The "Ray of Hope" project is an initiative of the European Commission, the Ministry of Energy, and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine aimed at enhancing the energy resilience of medical institutions.
