Babylon has completed its mainnet upgrade, reducing the BABY yearly inflation rate from 8% to 5.5%.
BlockBeats News, November 14th, Babylon announced that the "mainnet upgrade was successfully completed, two key BABY tokenomic adjustments have taken effect, and a convenient BTC staking extension feature has been added:
· Annual inflation rate reduced from 8% to 5.5%: 2.5 billion fewer BABY tokens will be minted annually, achieving a more sustainable tokenomics.
· Introduction of Co-staking: Users staking both BTC and BABY simultaneously will receive higher rewards than staking individually.
· BTC Staking Extension Feature: Allows BTC stakers to extend the time lock of their existing stakes without needing to unlock them.
